My daughter had her wedding on the beach and it was absolutely perfect. The wedding staff was a joy to work with from beginning to end. Our whole experience was great. The rooms were clean, the beach was great and the prices reasonable. We will definitely be back next year!!!!

We enjoyed our brief stay at the outrigger. A great value. Our room was clean and the service was great. The beach could be seen right outside our room. The pool, tiki bar and restaurant were great. Close enough to the shopping areas, but far enough away from the busy part of the beach. We will definitely be back again.

We loved our stay at the Outrigger. Everything you need for a great beach vacation. The music was great, nice staff, clean rooms and having a restaurant so close was wonderful. The hardest choices were to stay on the beach or relax in the pool.

We just came home yesterday from our vacation at the OUTRIGGER and we can honestly say, it was the best time we have ever had! It far exceeded our expectations. We were celebrating our anniversary, and this was the first time we had been to Florida, just the two of us. We were finally able to relax and unwind, and really rest. Everything we needed or wanted was right there. Our room was clean and comfortable, The Tiki bar was just a delight, listening to the live music and bartender Jimmy was the best~! The food at the Deckside cafe was wonderful and we were treated so well by all the staff. We truly thought we were in paradise with the pool and the beach and the beautiful sunsets every night. Thank you, thank you, everyone at the Outrigger resort for a most memorable week. We are planning on coming back next year and can't wait~

This was my family's first time vacationing at Outriggers and I cannot say enough about this hotel and their staff. When reading comments previous to our visit I expected a run down older hotel and boy was I pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very clean and our beachfront view was spectacular.We were greeted by wonderful front desk staff, thanks to Eddie, Kevin, Steve and Cheryl. Guest relations saw to it that my husbands medical needs were met when it came to the cabana rental...thanks Kathy and staff.The beach was beautiful and kept very clean as well as the deck area,an all you can eat breakfast bar was offered and you could not beat the price or quality of the food. I could go on and on about the Outrigger and all I can say is that we loved it so much we booked our rooms before we left for next years vacation and cannot wait!! Thanks Outrigger !!

A great experience, clean , nice, great custumer service, beautiful beach, clean pool, perfect tiki bar, well located. great sunset view, rooms super clean, I mean i can keep going on about such a great experience. 4 miles away from market place beside the beach, walking distance to charleys steak house and beach theater with the new release movies. the theater is movie and food at the same time. I will recomend 100%. thanks Outriggers for a great time.

Well this was our seventh visit in 6 years straight and it was GREAT as if it were our first visit! No bad issues at all. Only Great! The people at front desk to the cleaning maids and staff was visable and eager to help any way they can. I had FIVE rooms from 3 beach fronts and 2 pool side rooms. I had my Mom, Wife, Daughter, Son ,Sister, Niece and 3 grand kids with us. There is always something to do there at resort and the area around Fort Myers. Check out Sunsplash at Cape Coral if you have kids with you. A lot of fun. The rooms were clean and kept clean the 8 days we were there! I miss it all and look forward to returning next year! Thanks to all my friends at the OUTRIGGER!

Absolutely the BEST! Due to a flight delay we weren't able to arrive until after 2am, so the beauty of the resort did not become apparent until later that morning. Positively wonderful. Fantastic white sand beach, great pool and deck area, and a terrific tiki bar. The Deckside Cafe was perfect for breakfast each morning ~ and very affordable. Our room was clean, cool and very comfortable. The Outrigger's location is the best along Estero Drive - convenient to shopping, other restaurants and the Beach Theater. The Outrigger is a wonderful place for the entire family to enjoy a spectacular vacation. We will definitely be back - very soon!

Loved the resort. Large comfortable room. Really enjoyed Phil and Jim at tiki bar. Restaurant food was wonderful. The grouper was great. Loved the beach. Only complaint was the tiki bar should be open until 11 or 12. We stayed at 6 different resorts on this trip and this was earliest any bar closed. We spent 18 days in florida touring beaches and baseball games and of course bars. Thank you for a good time.

Absolutely what you want for a beach vacation!!! We found a great fresh seafood market called Trico seafood and my hunky guy cooked me fresh Florida shrimp and crab each night. but the 2 we went out.( at least 100 restaurants) I love efficiencies for this. We saw an enormous 1000lb. Manatee 15 ft. from shore 1 day. I loved swimming in the Gulf, it was warm and calm, plus, it was very CLEAN. You can watch the sunset melt into the water while embracing your sweetie- Never mind how harmonious the tiki bar band sounded each afternoon....Anyway- I found some cool new friends from England and Germany/Switzerland too. Nonwithstanding, the staff was curteous and professional. They all stayed focused on the ultimate guest satisfaction. The only down time was finding ashaded parking spot if you rent a car. By the way, I felt very safe. I will definitely return!

Loved, loved, LOVED! this place. Never heard so much laughing and happiness. Everyone, guests and staff alike, were absolutely fabulous. When relaxing outside our room every morning, I don't think I've said (or heard) so many 'Good Morning's' in my life.
The bartenders, Phil, Patty and Jim (better known as $6.50... he'll know) were so accommodating and friendly, some of the best bartenders yet. Was our first time there and will NOT be our last. Thanks to all for such a wonderful time, and save room for us next year!

We hebben een rondreis gemaakt door Florida met onze 3 dochters omdat we 25 jaar getrouwd waren. Het allerleukst vonden wij het hier! Just had a really wonderfuly week at the Outriggers FMB. My brother and I had a really relaxing time. All staff were helpful. We had now just arrived back home in London, UK and really do recommend this place.
Live entertainment was good and Tiki Bar Excellent. $2 buds and $4 Key West Sunset Ales were great. November is a really great time to visit.

Well we were only suppose to stay for two days. But we were having so much fun. We ended up staying for eight days!!!! The sunsets were beautiful!!! The atmosphere,people we were meeting from all different countries!!! Just everything was BEAUTIFUL!!!

We arrived before check-in time and the staff graciously checked to see if our room was available. It was but we were also offered an upgrade at a significant discount. We took it and were glad we did. Our room was quite nice, no problems at all. We enjoyed the quietness of the area the resort is located in. The cafe was under construction while we were there, so the cafe was moved to the deck area. So nice to sit outside and dine-enjoyed it! The pool was just the right size and was nice and warm with plenty of pool towels available. I loved the beach just being footsteps away. We only had one total rainy day while we were there, but that is okay we took in local attractions and did some shopping, of course. Thanks again for a great stay!

Once again we had a wonderful time. We really look forward to seeing Phil and Jim. It's so great to go on vacation and actually know someone! It's too bad that the cafe wasn't really working until the last day of our visit. We do enjoy going there. Phil tells us you'll be having pizza...can't wait. Next year if all goes well we are hoping to make our vacation a family vacation with our grown children. I want to share with them our wonderful little treasure!! Spent a long weekend with family and friends. Great time awesome people. Convenient just feet away from beach. Plenty space and comfort in rooms (with kitchen). Our daughter got engaged (caught by surprise when boyfriend propossed) thanks to staff and friends Justine, Brad, Diana and Alyssa whom helped make this possible. The entertainment was perfect. Wine and cheese even better. Just had an awesome time to make great memories. Watching dolphins and sting rays swim by weren't so bad either :)

This was our 5th visit in 4 years and had a great time. It was my wife and I only. It is so nice to not worry about keeping our room clean. The cleaning staff does a great job with-out missing a beat! We rented a car at airport and used it very little. Every thing you need is so close. The only issue we had was across the street at charleys boat house. My wife loved the all you can eat prime rib, bbq ribs and crab legs. They did away with this deal with-out us knowing and she was VERY upset. I dont think we will visit them again. Why change such a long time thing? She still complains about it because that was one thing she really loved to do! The cafe was being remodeled at the outrigger and we was getting bit-up eating on deck side by the cant see ums. But overall it was still a nice visit!

It was our second trip in under a year and as was the case on our first visit everything was perfect. The staff was very helpful and courteous - the room was perfect,and as always the beach was gorgeous. The Outrigger offers many options - and one of them is to relax and do nothing. Which we did this time. Just relaxed and enjoyed the sun, beach, and the Gulf. And, of course our afternoon visit's to the Tiki Bar. Phil, Jim and Patty - see you soon. And for the record - you really need to go no where else than the the Deckside Cafe to enjoy an excellant meal!We were so sorry to leave but thank you for the wonderful time. We will be back. Again.

We stayed at Outrigger the first week in April. The beach was wonderful, the $9 breakfast buffett was average and filling, the housekeeping staff was thorough, but two changes would have been Cindy in the restaurant who was rude and at check in, our room wasn't ready at4:30pm and they gave us keys to a room that was already occupied, a bit embarassing because the couple in the room was changing. I'd say overall 3 out of 5 stars.
If you get the chance, eat the $12 salad bar at Charlies across the street. Totally worth it!
Next time, we're staying on Sanibel Island.

Our family of 5 had an amazing first trip to Fort Myers beach and Outrigger. The building and surroundings are a bit dated...which made our trip even better...taking us back to a simple luxury of life the beach really is! 5 star clean is what I would give our room....Food, Drinks and Entertainment are also all 5 star!! I came down with my sisters, sister-in-law and a friend for a "Girl's Trip". We had a blast! Our room was great - the weather was PERFECT and the beach was awesome! It was so nice to get away from the harsh Rochester winter and finally be able to bask in some sunshine! The Outrigger is such a great place to stay - everything you need is right there - and what isn't is just a trolley-ride away. I hope we can make this an annual trip!!

I just wanted to say that we had a great visit at your hotel. The restaurant The Deckside Cafe was great. Good food. They have a breakfast buffet every day. If you go there, ask for Maria she will take good care of you. There is a Tiki Bar with music playing till 9pm almost every night. I recommend this Motel to anyone. I know I will stay there again on my next visit. Thanks Outrigger..You did a Great job.

Wow.... where to start? We originally intended to stay in the Marco Island area but it was too too too expensive and commercial. Loved the Outrigger and the cozy feeling over a large commercial high rise hotel. Room price was half of what we would have spent ! The guest service shack was great in getting us set up each day to lounge on the beach in their cozy cabana chairs. Pool was heated to a very comfortable level. Bar staff at the Tiki bar was very accommodating considering that it is always the place to gather, and very busy. Live music every night!!! Free internet access in the front office! Seriously where can you get all this for such a reasonable price! On the last day we wanted to get as much sun as possible and they even accommodated us with a half day rate so we could use our room and shower again before departure. Each staff member was very helpful. A little slow one day on getting us towels, but mostly wonderful. We never like to stay at the same place twice, but I would stay here again.......Superb!

OBR was just what we needed. My wife and I have very stressful and demanding jobs, and we are blessed to have them, but we needed to get away. So OBR was the perfect getaway. We never left the property except for a stroll down the beach or a wine run to 7 Eleven :-) Deckside cafe was all we needed for food - and it was all good. We love you guys and can't wait for that next weekend getaway at OBR!

Me and my wife took our first vacation alone in almost 20 years since our daughter was born and it was worth the wait. The weather was fabulous and the alcoholic beverages were cold. The food was excellent from the cafe and the Tiki bar atmosphere was inviting and lively. Room was nice and cozy and the view was great. We will return in March of 2011 working on the details after the holidays are over. Have been all over Florida from Orlando to Key West and the Outrigger is my favorite.The only downfall is that their isn't enough nightlife but then again a couple of cocktails and a walk on the beach is good enough for us. You can't beat the accommodations, staff, atmosphere and the combination pool, Tiki bar and beach.

Had an OUTSTANDING time. Great room facing the gulf, beautiful beach. Had fun watching a beachfront sundown wedding - and joining in serenading it from the balcony.

I just wanted to say what a great time we had this past weekend at this resort.It is a must that I don't ever forget the address. We will return. It was a two hour trip a little getaway for the weekend, will be spending many more there. Thanks again Donna Cannon

We came for our second visit in February 2009. We had a beachfront, ground floor suite. We LOVE The Outrigger!! We are hoping to come back in Feb. or March of 2010! Everything about the resort is great! Clean, great staff, great Tiki bar and bartenders!! We just love everything about the place!! Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else! Thanks for a great time! My husband, son and myself just returned home last Sunday from a wonderful week at the Outrigger. We were there last October and want to return again next October. All of the staff are wonderful. Gina and Marie from guest services are fantastic. Please let them know how wonderful we think they are. The gentlemen that tend bar at the Tiki Hut are also a great group of guys. My wife, son and myself had another fabulous vacation in October 2008.This is probably our 6th vist to the Outrigger, it used to be every year when we lived in Scotland All the staff are excellent.We cannot visit Florida without coming back to the Outrigger, it makes us feel at home. I just have to say that this was a fabulous resort. The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful. The resort was very clean and really quiet. It was nice not to have children running around screaming! The beach and the sunsets are beautiful. I have been to Fort Myers 6 times and now plan to come back every year and stay at this resort. It really made my holiday. PS - Charley's does fantastic food!

We love it! We like spending some of our holidays and taking weekend getaways there. A favorite tradition is Easter and July 4th. The fire works off the pier are the best. We stay atleast 5-6 times thru the year. We enjoy the beach all day, go across the street to dinner and get flashlights and walk the beach at night looking for night creatures. We love staying at the Outrigger!!! Nothing like going up to the tiki bar and getting a rumrunner and sitting on the beach listening to the waves and seeing the dolphins. I'm already bummed out that I had to leave The Outrigger and Fort Myers Beach. It's so drab and gloomy here in Ohio. I just got home this past Sunday, and we stayed at the resort for most of last week. This was my third time staying at The Outrigger, and I'm too reluctant to stay anywhere else because I feel I'll be too disappointed staying anywhere else. I'm already trying to arrange a trip to come back in September. For all of you down there on the beach, soak up some sun! My tan lines are already fading.

My family stayed at the Outrigger for 8 days in June. We chose it after much research and decided that all the good reviews made the decision easy. We were not dissapointed. The property was beautiful our room was clean and was kept that way our entire stay.The flowers in our room on the second day were a wonderful touch. We will be back!

afte reading these blogs my wife,son and daughter, grandson and mother came to visit the outrigger and found the blogs say it all! my room was very clean and kept clean allowing us more time to run all around the staff was visable to help and all you see them doing is cleaning ! i want to become a club member and stop to see it all again with just my wife this time!!!!

My husband and I recently stayed at the resort and enjoyed our entire time there. Staff was very friendly and rooms were very clean. I must say that the resort was also very quiet. Kids were not running around out of control. We enjoyed getting up every morning and walking the beach and other areas. Our friend recommened two different places to us and we originally had reservaitons toward the end of the island and I am so glad we changed our minds to stay at the Outriggers. We drove by the other place and it was very busy and loud. You will see us again next year and we will be staying out entire trip with you.

There were 15 of us (ages 8 - 65)and we had a great time. The resort is beautiful. It has everything you need (beach, pool, sundeck, Deckside Cafe, clean rooms and maid service, and of course the best - The Tiki Bar with live entertainment). There's even a cheese and wine party (free) on Thursdays. You don't even need to leave the resort if you don't want to. We plan on making this a yearly family designation. You won't be sorry if you stay here. Thanks to the management and staff. See you next year!
